What I Wish I Knew BEFORE homeschooling my children
I love that I'm seeing more and more parents allowing their children to express themselves. Mind you, they should still remain respectful but allowing our children to say what's on their mind is so freeing. It helps them feel comfortable to say how they're feeling without worrying about being shut down or ignored. I remember a time where I had raised my voice at Neyama during our bedtime routine. Then I tucked her in and said "I love you". She told me that she thought that I didn't love her anymore because I yelled. 😳 That felt like a kick in the gut. I apologised and I thanked her for telling me how she felt. That moment was one of the first times where she actually said how she was feeling. And lemme tell you... I was disappointed in myself but so proud of her at the same time.
